Congratulations to GOLD for all their hard work this year. A year ago no one would ever imagine that we would accomplish in Leicester what we have done here! No one!! When we started, you were all here in record numbers and seeing you all at our functions, this is when I knew that I had to speak up for a change, to bring back our Goan Community.

You made it clear with your attendance, your enthusiasm and your voices that there, is something happening in Leicester.

Yes! There is something happening at GOLD in Leicester,

When Goan families from all over such as Scotland, Southampton, Birmingham, M.Keynes, Bristol, Telford, London and Leicester attended.

Goans who are young in age and in spirit, who never participated in dances, choreography or singing before ,turned out in numbers we have never seen because they knew in their hearts that this time it must be different.
Whether we are rich or poor, Leicester Goans or as London Goans we are all as "Special".

We are ready to take GOLD in a fundamentally new direction and that is what is happening in Leicester.

All of you who put so much heart and soul into our dances, you can be the new majority who can lead our Goan community out of darkness and into rays of light. We can challenge ourselves to reach for something better.

There is no problem we cannot solve; there is no destiny that we cannot fulfil.
Our children and youngsters should be put on a pedestal of how great they are,
and start rewarding them for their greatness, their talent and by giving them our support which will feel significant. I am still following what I believe in and am ready to carry on what I truly believe in of bringing forward
a Goan true and realistic, fantastic community.
